I am young. I am 17 and l will wait until I am maybe 18-19 so my body is done growing. I am 5'8 and 155 lbs. My problem is my mid-section. I am healthy. l love working out and playing tennis but l just can not lose weight in the belly area. l just want a flat stomach. If l get my surgery done my a good plastic surgeon who is certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery. What is the worst thing that can happen?

What are pros and cons of liposuction

Well, u would have to weigh the risks involved:

1.The risk that is associated with surgery. Liposuction is a surgery, so it carries the risk, like any other surgery

2. The dangers - fatality does occur

3. The cost - it dents deep into ur pocket

4. The fat could come back

5. The results might not be what u want or expect

6. The down time - takes months before full recovery & visible results to surface

I do not want to go on...Here is a website that gives a full account of liposuction: http://perfect-body-toning.com/what-is-liposuction.html

My advice is that u do not go for it. Since you're already exercising, it helps heaps to burn off the fat in ur mid-section. If u throw in the habit of eating more healthy food, u would slice off more fat there, to get to a flatter abs.

P/S: Liposuction would not be able to suction off the deep-seated fat that normally sit in ur mid-section.

What are pros and cons of liposuction

This may resolve itself when you finish growing. lipo is surgery, and like all surgery, there is the possibility of complications like infection, scarring, and reaction to anesthesia.

If you gain weight after lipo, there are no longer fat cells in that area- so the weight is deposited elsewhere, such as your calves and neck.
